According to tonight’s Evening Standard the Tory Lead is down to 2%. Their answer is to airbrush their (and no doubt Cameron’s) image even more by hiring Saatchi & Saatchi. Perhaps the right policies might be more help?

Good to see the Cllrs Palmers still ‘brown nosing’ the Labour Party as they did SO slavishly for 8 years, and in so doing denied the voice of the largest group of voters in Barnet to representation.
Why oh why are Barnet’s Lib Dems so in love with Labour?

Oh look-I’ve hooked a bluefish.
Well, Danny Boy, just a few things before I throw you back:
1. Susette and Monroe Palmer are separate entities with different ideas and interests. Please do not attribute my comments to him or vice-versa.
2. I am not pro-Labour either.
3. When the electorate votes for a balanced Administration be it local or National what they are saying is that they want parties to work together for the common good. If you believe in proprtional representation, which I do, then you have to stop slagging everyone else off and work on the problems.
4. I don’t think you mean ‘the largest group of voters denied representation.’ they certainly had representatives. They just didn’t have enough Councillors to rule as a single party. I do not believe that the current tribal and whipped politics in Barnet benefits the Borough. People join a political party because , by and large, they agreee with its views, so most of the time they will vote together. I do not think they should be co-erced to do so by some idea of collective responsibility.
5. Lastly when I was Cabinet Member for Community Development in the Joint Administration the Borough achieved Beacon Status for both parks and libraries, helping improve the quality of life for us all. I have continued to take an interest, make suggestions, and work with the officers in both these areas (among others) and will continue to do so, (if elected,) whatever the Administration after the next election.
